Slow Friday

Camouflage Nights - It Could Be Love
The Crimea - Opposite Ends

While it may be St. Patricks day outside, It's a slow friday inside. I have no idea where i got either of these from, but they're pretty awesome. both have been around for a while and i suspect i got them off somebody elses bitchen music blog, but i didn't pay much attention at the time... but today i heard them and today i liked them so thanks to whomever deserves it.

Camouflage Nights is yet ANOTHER canadian band with jerking, angular rhythems, but with a not-so-subtle hip hop vein running through it. The Crimea is an english band that also delves into certain hip hop influences along with it's alt/rock.

God Is In The TV

Black Flag - TV Party
Elvis Presley - A Little Less Conversation (Junkie XL Remix)

i'm pretty fired from working too much and haven't had time ot keep up on things around here. when your brain is fried, what's better than a TV Party? a couple beers, some pop corn and a remote control... and BAM: i've magically got a theme for a post on sintake.

where else would i go for the opening song for my TV Party - Black Flags classic TV Party off 82s TV Party single on the SST label - originally released on the LP Damaged in 81. Kind of funny to think that this was one of Henry Rollins first records as front man...

the next track is 2002's Junkie XLs Remix used as the opening theme song for NBC's T&A action/comedy Las Vegas. used to be a mid-week show, but since it was moved to friday i never get to see it anymore. i had a friend who was mildly addicted to this show. and by "friend" i do in fact mean "friend" and not "me".
